While recruiting, the EAKS seeks to secure the highest standards of efficiency, technical competence, professionalism and integrity. While the mission of the Commission is to ensure the development of Kiswahili for regional and international interaction for political, economic, social, cultural, educational, scientific and technological development of the Partner States, the EAKC encourages and promotes new and better ways of doing business. Effective relationships between the various Organs and Institutions of the Community are geared towards promoting the successful attainment of the strategic direction and credibility of the EAKC and the East African Community as a whole.

Continuous Development

EAKC invests in Staff development and focuses on achieving organisational goals. Training is offered to Staff to assist in the development of skills required to fulfill their roles properly.
