CAPACITY ASSESSMENT OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF KISWAHILI IN THE EAC

The Capacity Assessment report focused on Kiswahili Entities (individuals; Group; Organizations; and Institutions) in all EAC Partner State. kiswahili Domain that were assessed include 

  • Kiswahili in media 
  • Kiswahili in business and trade 
  • Kiswahili in the Criminal Justice system 
  • Kiswahili in Administration

The meeting reviewed the draft Report by the team of experts and critically examined all aspects of the report. The meeting relied on existing literature and filled matrices from Partner states and additional data provided by National Research leaders in consultation with relevant authorities in Partner state.
